Data we collect

• Account data: name, email, password hash, organisation, role
• Product data: tasks, ideas, categories, sprints, reviews, comments, timestamps
• Device data: IP address, device and browser information, event logs
• Support data: messages you send to support@focuser.co.uk

Why we use your data and lawful bases

• Provide the service: create and manage your account, secure access, core features. Lawful basis: Contract
• Improve and fix the service: diagnostics, analytics, feature development, quality checks. Lawful basis: Legitimate interests
• Communications: service messages about your account. Lawful basis: Contract. Marketing requires consent
• Legal compliance: record keeping and responding to lawful requests. Lawful basis: Legal obligation

Data retention

We keep personal data only as long as necessary:

• Account profile: while your account is active, then 6 years for records
• Trial accounts: auto delete 90 days after trial ends if not converted
• Content you create in FOCUSER: while the account is active. You can delete items in the app
• Logs: up to 12 months unless needed for security

Sharing and international transfers

We use carefully selected service providers that act as processors. Some may be outside the UK. Where transfers occur, we use appropriate safeguards such as the UK IDTA or EU SCCs as applicable.

Your rights

You have the right to access, rectify, erase, restrict, port, and object to processing. You can also withdraw consent at any time when consent is our lawful basis. To exercise your rights email privacy@focuser.co.uk. You also have the right to complain to the ICO:

Security

We take appropriate technical and organisational measures, including encryption in transit, access controls, backups, and regular patching.

Children

FOCUSER is for users aged 16 and over. We do not knowingly collect data from children under 16.
